Payroll is not available in Anchor for South Africa. Use a dedicated PAYE provider; invoicing, banking, and VAT reports stay in the free hosted product.
This page is for anyone looking for salaries, PAYE, or payslips in Anchor. Those features are not part of the hosted South African product. Day-to-day books still are: invoicing, bills, bank reconciliation, and VAT reports.

Payroll is disabled for this product (product decision GAP-PAY-01). South African payroll (PAYE, UIF, SDL, EMP201/501, IRP5, and related compliance) is too complex and high-risk to offer in Anchor at this stage. Use a dedicated SA payroll provider. Accounting, invoicing, banking, and VAT reporting remain in scope.
Payroll modules from the open-source base are disabled in this product.
They are not exposed in the sidebar, dashboard routes, REST API under
/api/v1/payroll/*, or MCP tools while PAYROLL_ENABLED is false.
